The 2026 Chicago Auto Show, marking its 118th edition, will run from February 7 to 16 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. This premier North American event spans over 800,000 square feet and features nearly 1,000 vehicles, including passenger cars, trucks, SUVs, concepts, and accessories.

Key Dates and Logistics

Public access opens daily at 10 a.m., with closing times varying: 9 p.m. on February 7 and February 9-15, 6 p.m. on February 8, and 8 p.m. on February 16. Media previews occur February 5-6, followed by the First Look for Charity gala. Tickets become available in November 2025 via the official site; note McCormick Place operates cashless.

Exciting New Features

A highlight is Chi-Town Alley, a fresh immersive exhibit transforming part of the show floor to celebrate Chicago’s car culture with community-built vehicles, custom rides, exotics, and interactive displays. Organizers recently launched a redesigned website ahead of the event.

Historical Significance and Expectations

First held in 1901, the show drew nearly 217,000 attendees in 2025, setting records for test drives. Expect world and North American debuts, indoor test tracks, EV experiences, and local enthusiast showcases, building on traditions like those from Stellantis, Ford, and Toyota.
