A Look into A Handful of Dog Parks in the Thousand Oaks, CA area
In a span of just four days, national holidays on February 20th (Love Your Pet Day), 22nd (Walking Your Dog Day), and 23rd (Dog Biscuit Day) are all around our lovable pets. At Neftin Westlake Mazda, we wanted to give you some spaces to help celebrate with your dogs if you don’t have a fenced-in area near you. Check out these local dog parks in our area!
Conejo Creek Dog Park
Just east of Waverly Park, Conejo Creek Dog Park is a 3.5 acre park designed for pets and their owners. It offers sections for small dogs as well as large ones (over 30 lbs). While open daily from 7:00 am to 8:30 pm, the park is closed every Thursday from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm and every third Thursday of the month.
Oak Canyon Dog Park
On the eastern side of Thousand Oaks, CA lies the Oak Canyon Dog Park. Similar to other parks in the area, there are specific areas for the size of your dog to help provide comfort and safety. The park is open from sun-up to sundown and offers a nice view of the hilly areas in Simi Valley.
Westlake Village Dog Park
Just off the Ventura Freeway is Westlake Village Dog Park. Offering two park areas, the location is open from 7:00 am to sundown (though it’s closed Mondays from 7:00 am to 11:00 am for maintenance). Their website offers the proper COVID-19 protocols and requirements needed from patrons.
Kimber Dog Park
If you live on the western side of Thousand Oaks can utilize Kimber Dog Park. Attached next to a public park with plenty of parking, it offers wheelchair access and plenty of space for dogs to play. It’s a great place for the entire family to check out
